Dani Cullimore, Registered Acupuncturist:
I love living in Guelph providing care to the residents here. I moved here 6 years ago to be closer to nature, to be with family, and to open a small specialized clinic that focusses on optimizing health.
Over a decade ago, I had my first acupuncture treatment - for pain relief and to help with grief, and I was profoundly and positively affected. From there, I decided to study and practice Traditional Chinese Medicine Acupuncture moving away from my work as a researcher in the meditation and wearables field.
Today, I work together with clients to optimize their well-being and reach personal goals. I tend to see people who come in to address pain relief, injury, stress, peri-menopause symptoms like hot flashes and night sweating, low energy, mood challenges & sleep. I also provide labour preparation and post partum treatments.
I have extensive training in, and a love for, providing facial rejuvenation acupuncture. It's a great tool for enhancing healthy ageing and skincare in a natural and non-invasive way. There is more info about FRA below.
Our clinic practices safety protocols including those helping to mitigate the risk of COVID-19. You are welcome to come for treatment regardless of your vaccination status. You may choose to wear a mask but it is not required unless you are experiencing any cold or allergy symptoms. I will be wearing a mask and we have a hepa air filter running in the treatment.
Registered with the CTCMPAO*, I have been studying or providing Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine support since 2010. I opened my first clinic in 2016 in Toronto and today provide services at York Road and Victoria Rd.
Anti-racism and Inclusion
I adhere to anti-oppression and anti-racism frameworks; and am supportive and skilled in working with LGBTQ2S+ clients.
Special Training: Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture
I was trained in Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture in 2014 (Mei Zen Technique w/ Martha Lucas, San Francisco). Many people choose this treatment because they want a more natural way to take care of their skin and face. The benefits of FRA can include: improvement of muscle tone, increased collagen production, increased circulation, reduction of fine lines, tightening pores and slowing the aging process from within. Treatments include facial acupuncture and body acupuncture - your face is a part of you and what's showing up there is a reflection of what is going on in your life and in your body. So we work on everything. Sessions also may include Celluma Light Therapy, guasha and cupping. Contact us to discuss this treatment and to see if it's right for you.
Food is medicine.
Guided by Traditional Chinese Medicine and an appreciation for whole-food practices Dani will discuss and work with food as part of your treatment plan - especially for digestion issues, low energy, post-covid recovery, women's health care and other internal issues.
When not in clinic, I'm at home in my lovely downtown neighbourhood or on a hiking trail with my dog. I support low waste practices and use this approach in my clinic (laundered sheets instead of paper/plastic, for example) as well as in my personal life. I'm always looking for ways to make my practice more earth-conscious while maintaining strict safety protocols.
